Held mourning ceremony of martyrdom of Lady Fatima Zahra (pbuh) in Manila

In solidarity with the Shi'ahs and devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in Iran and around the world, the mourning ceremony for the martyrdom of Lady Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her) was held at the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iranian families residing in the Philippines, and Shi'ahs from the Philippines, Pakistan, India, and Iraq.

The ceremony began on Thursday, the 15th of Azar (December 5), at 8 PM with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an, followed by the recitation of the soul-invigorating of Du'a Kumayl. Then, Mr. Abolghasemi, the Cultural Counselor, welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude for their presence. He offered condolences to the lovers and Shi'ahs of Lady Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her) on the anniversary of her martyrdom, and recited a beautiful poem in honor of the status and position of Umm Abiha. Following this, the Cultural Counselor invited Mr. Nasser Abinal, the head of the Islamic Center of Imamate, to deliver his speech via virtual space.

He praised Almighty God and paid his respects to the sacred status of the infallible Imams (peace be upon them). He offered condolences to the Islamic ummah on the martyrdom of the beloved daughter of the Messenger of God (peace be upon him) and, by reciting Surah Al-Kawthar, explained that some surahs, like Surah Al-Kawthar, have a specific reason for revelation. This surah was revealed in honor of the status and position of Lady Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her) and reflects the greatness and virtue of this epitome of piety and the pure servant of the Lord of the Worlds. Many commentators have said that Al-Kawthar refers to Lady Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her). In another part of his speech, he mentioned that when Qasim, the son of the Prophet (peace be upon him), passed away, the polytheists claimed that the Prophet had no heir to carry on his legacy, and that he was "cut off." However, Almighty God affirmed the status of Lady Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her) with the revelation of Surah Al-Kawthar, declaring that He had granted the Prophet "Al-Kawthar," meaning an abundance of good.

He continued by stating that in the narrations, it is mentioned that despite the fact that the great Lady of Islam passed away at a young age, the lineage of the infallible Imams (peace be upon them) continued through her. Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) was able to protect the religion of Islam, the Qur'an, and the very foundation of Islam. At the forefront of this legacy were the infallible Imams (peace be upon them), who were nurtured and raised in the best manner by her.

Another point is that despite the common belief that human lineage continues through male offspring, the verse "إنّ شانئک هو الْأبْتر" (Indeed, your enemy is the one who is cut off) indicates that daughters also carry on the lineage of their fathers. The noble lineage of Lady Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her) continues the path of the Prophet, and Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) is the mother of two of the infallible Imams. All the infallible Imams, except for Imam Ali (peace be upon him), are from her progeny. In conclusion, he said that Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) holds a high and exalted status in the Qur'an, and it is our duty to take her as a role model in our lives. As we have in the narrations, "We are the proof of God over you," Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) is our proof. Therefore, our following of the infallible Imams and their leadership is, in essence, a following of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her).

After Mr. Abinal's speech, the mourning recitations for the martyrdom of Lady Fatimah Zahra (peace be upon her) were screened, accompanied by the voices of the reciters and mourners of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). The attendees engaged in mourning and chest-beating, and at the end, the mourners were treated to a meal blessed by the presence of Lady Zahra (peace be upon her).
