The Shaam-e-Ghariban ceremony, which was another turning point in the Karbala event and an objective reflection on the oppression of the family of the son of the Prophet (PBUH), was held with the presence by mourners and devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt from different nationalities, the ambassador and staff of the Islamic Republic of Iran Embassy in Manila and a large number of resident Iranians who came from far and near to pay their respects to Agha Aba Abdullah (a.s), loyal companions and the captives of Karbala. The ceremony was held in an atmosphere filled with sorrow and spirituality, with attendees lighting candles.
Hojjatoleslam wal-Moslemin, Haj Agha Sadegh Tabatabaei, a spiritual dispatch cleric, began his speech by posing a question and stating an important matter. He acknowledged that Hussain (a.s.) was apparently defeated, his family and children were captured, and his holy head along with the holy heads of other martyrs of Karbala went on spears amid the joy of the conquerors, but for those who think and believe in the truth of the victory of Imam Hussain (a.s.). It is confirmed on the day of Ashura, and we all witness that more than 1390 years have passed since that event until now, Shiites and devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt, in addition to Iran, in the countries of Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Canada, England, America and many countries including the Philippines. By holding a mourning ceremony, the memory of that honorable man is honored and respected by his loyal followers.
The speaker of the meeting added that the movement of master and leader of martyrs, not only in the Islamic Revolution of Iran but also in other parts of the world including India, has been the source of great revolutions and this fact is well evident in the words of Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of independence of India, because Imam Hussain (a.s.) established the culture of death is better than life with humiliation. Addressing the audience, Mr. Tabatabai added, "Where is the grave of Imam Hussein, where is the grave of Yazid?" Where is Omar Saad's grave? Compare what history has judged the Karbala uprising. He further added that the Imam paid a great price for the separation of the right and wrong fronts and explained the difference between coercion and free will. Therefore, we should not view historical events with just one perspective. It is only when we understand this that we comprehend why the victory of Imam Hussein (a.s.) was fully established from the very day of Ashura.
The cleric dispatched from the center then analyzed the events of Karbala and the events before and after it and emphasized that three important factors among other factors explained the victory of Imam Hussain, which were defense, cooperation and attack. Explaining each of these divisions, he added that the defense occurred when the honorable Imam rejected the invitation of the governor of Medina to pledge allegiance to Yazid, who had ostensibly become a Muslim caliph after the death of Muawiya, on the 21st of Rajab, 59 AH, and took refuge in Mecca. Instead, Imam Hussein sought refuge in Mecca to safeguard the sanctity of the Sacred Mosque and to ensure the continuity of his movement. Yazidi whose stories of drinking alcohol, moral corruption and other acts against the Sharia were both public and private. The Cooperation happened when the Imam responded positively to the invitation of the people of Kufa and sent Muslim ibn Aqeel to them in order to fulfill their positivity in accepting the invitation and cooperating with those who claimed to convert to him and that no one in the future of history would be able to claim It seems that if Imam Hussain (a.s.) had accepted the call of the Kufis, perhaps the direction of Islam would have changed and the rule of justice would have replaced the injustice, and it was in the third phase of the invasion that Imam (a.s.) came to the conclusion that the task of fighting the enemy by force. Although he initially made extensive efforts to prevent bloodshed, history showed that the opponents were not satisfied with anything less than the pure blood of the Prophet's son. When the opposing side persisted in their wrongful stance, Imam Hussein chose the path of open confrontation with the followers of Yazid.
At the end of the session, the speaker emphasized that rejecting humiliation and accepting martyrdom immortalized the name of Aba Abdullah (a.s.) forever in history. He concluded his remarks by mentioning the tragedy that befell the people of Karbala and the captives of Karbala, and the eulogists of the Ahl al-Bayt began to recite lamentations. The Shaam-e-Ghariban ceremony ended with video clips on this occasion and reception of invited guests and guests with the blessing of Agha Imam Hussein (a.s.).
