On Sunday night, the 12th of Farvardin 1403, the spiritual and grace-filled ceremony of the 21st night of the holy month of Ramadan, the night of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (a.s) was held in the Cultural Center hall of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Manila with the cooperation of our country's Embassy. In this ceremony, Mr. Esmaeil Zadeh, the honorable ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a group of embassy staff, lovers and admirers of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.), attended and recited (Dua Joshan Kabir), perform chest beating and mourned, and with sincerity they put the Quran on their head.

The ceremony began at 10:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the grand supplication of Dua Joshan Kabir, followed by Mr. Abolghasemi, the Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic in Manila, offering his condolences on the martyrdom of the first oppressor of the world, Amir al-Mu'minin, Imam Ali (a.s) to the friends and followers of Ahl al-Bayt. (a.s.), during a short speech about the virtues and spirituality of the Nights of Qadr and the recommended acts for the 21st night, and while honoring the Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he prayed for the well-being and prosperity of Iranians and our country from the Almighty God. This ceremony continued with chest-beating, elegy recitations praising the first Imam of the Shiites, and with sincerity putting the Quran on the head, and ended at 1:00 am with a reception for the guests.
