The Tomb of Awhadi Maraghehei
The Tomb Complex of Awhadi Maraghehei, which is an example of modern Iranian architecture, includes a square tomb made of bluestone placed on a platform and under a beautiful dome surrounded by a library, which is located in the middle of a beautifully paved garden (the previous tombstone was transferred to the museum).
Awhadi Maraghehei was a mystic and a famous Persian poet of the Ilkhanid era and the author of a famous Mathnavi entitled “Jaam-e Jam”. The Maragheh Museum, which is named as the “Specialized Ilkhanid Museum”, is located next to Awhadi’s Tomb.
