The festival is organized by the Farabi Cinema Foundation, which organizes it under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

Crystal Simorgh is the name of the special prize of this festival, in which the participants compete in the competitive sections to win it.

In addition to the Crystal Simorgh, the Diploma of Honor and the Golden Tablet are other prizes of this festival that the participants can win. Although the festival was held only in the feature films section in previous years, other sections such as short films, documentaries and promotional material competitions have been added to it for several years.
