In this regard, in response to the broadcast of Muawiyah's series on MBC, it has held a meeting entitled "Explaining the Distortion of the History of Islam" at the Al-Kawthar Katsina Institute in Nigeria.

The Cultural Consultation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Nigeria has supported the targeted programs of these groups and institutions in Nigeria with the aim of empowering institutions and organizations active in the religious and civil field in Nigeria, especially related institutions and groups, in line with the thoughts and ideas of the rich culture of Shiism and the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.). In this regard, in response to the broadcast of Muawiyah's series on MBC, it has held a meeting entitled "Explaining the Distortion of the History of Islam" at the Al-Kawthar Katsina Institute in Nigeria.
In this meeting, issues such as incorrect portrayals and distortions of the history of Islam, especially the personalities of Mu'awiya and Yazid, were discussed, and the precise explanation of historical events and the way of spreading distorted narratives throughout history and the role of historians in distortions were highlighted. The speakers went on to legitimize the roots of the enmity between Abu Sufyan, his descendants, and the Umayyads from the year of the Prophethood until the year 40 after the Hijrah. attributed to the Umayyad and Abbasid governments in this period and explained and clarified the reasons for this to the audience.
In this meeting, three prominent religious and academic figures, Mr. Hojjatoleslam Wal Muslimeen, Dr. Sheikh Ibrahim Moazen from Saqlain Institute, Kano Province, as well as Dr. Amin Abdullah Kayta, Professor of Omar Musa Yaradwa University, as well as Dr. Alhaj Bello Nababa, CEO of the Women's Cultural Center called WAPA delivered speeches in this meeting.
