The Al-Zahra Society of Nigeria, which was founded in 1402 by a group of professors from Muslim and Shiite universities in Kano, Kaduna and Katsina states, is one of these institutions active in the field of women in Nigeria.
In order to support, strengthen and increase the religious awareness of this institution and turn it into a reference institution, the Cultural Consultation of our country has made the necessary plans in this regard so that this group can have the necessary enlightenment and leadership among its population and other institutions aligned with the mission in Nigeria through the implementation of education-based programs.
In this regard, based on the suggestion of the head of this association, it is decided to hold a series of programs on a regular and periodic basis to enlighten and promote the general and social knowledge of women.
By the grace of God, the fifth training program of this group was held this year with the very close cooperation of the International Cultural Relations Department of Women and Family of the organization under the title of "The Role of the African Continent in the History of Shiism" by Dr. Zahra Golzar, professor of Huda University and Resalat Institute, as well as a lecturer at Al-Mustafa University.
In this speech, he briefly emphasized the necessity of knowing the history of Shiism and the need to be aware of authentic historical traditions and events , and referred to Shiism and how this meaning and its rich culture emerged, including anti-oppression and support for the oppressed in this culture, and considered the full-fledged defense of Islamic Iran from the Palestinian people as a practical example of this culture.
He went on to enumerate historical figures from the African continent and their role in the formation and spread of Shiism, including the presence of the Fatemiyoun in Egypt and other groups, and considered the existence of a multi-million Shiite population in Nigeria as the result of this role.
The last minutes of this specialized meeting were devoted to questions and answers, which were enthusiastic and meaningful to the enthusiastic and meaningful reception of Muslim and Shiite women in this country, which showed their interest in the position of the meeting.
