 The Mega Competition of Photography

of the

 Architecture of Islamic Holy Places

and Shrines (Masjids, Imambadas&Mazaars) of India 2023

In order to encourage young artists and pay importance to the Islamic Architectural Heritage of India, Iran Culture House, New Delhi is going to hold a photography competition of the Islamic holy places and Indian shrines. In this event, an effort is made to utilize the experience and efforts of all photographers and to open a new window towards the glorious & historic tombs and Islamic Architecture of India.

Photography themes:

1- Mazaars of India (the connection of Mazaar with its city and people's lives, Area of Mazaar, endowments and gifts in Mazaars)

2- Indian Islamic architecture (including calligraphy, inscriptions, sculpture, tiling, etc.),

Terms & Conditions for participating in the photography contest:

Participation in this festival is free for all photographers.

• Send photos only on WhatsApp number.
• The size of the largest side of the photo should be 2000 pixels. The width or height of any photo should not exceed 2000 pixels.
•  The size of each file should not exceed 2 MB.
• Photos must be saved in JPEG format.
• Photos must be taken by professional cameras, compact or high resolution cell phone cameras. All components used in the photo must be photographed by the photographer.
• Each photographer is allowed to send 3 photos in each section, a total of 6 photos for two sections.
• The photos must be prepared according to the conditions mentioned and each photo has the possibility to participate in one part of the competition.
• The candidate who register & send the work would be considering the owner of that "intellectual property" of the photos. If he was proved faulty at any stage, the legal consequence will be up to the participant.
• The organizer is allowed to use all or part of the accepted photos in publications related to the competition, including books, websites, exhibitions and other related items.
•  No text such as the title of the photo, the name of the photographer or the country, etc. should be included on the photo.
• Participating in this competition means accepting all relevant conditions and the participant waives the right to any objection.
• Photographers whose works make it to the final competition will be issued a certificate of participation by Culture House of the Embassy of I. R. Iran, New Delhi.

Starting of registration and photo receiving: July 20, 2023

Deadline for registration and receiving photos: August 31, 2023

Announcement of award winning recipients, via email and WhatsApp: September 10, 2023

Closing ceremony, awards distribution along with workshop: September 18 - 19, 2023

1^st place: Certificate of appreciation and 15,000 Indian rupees + participation in a free photography workshop in Iran Culture House, New Delhi

2^nd place: Certificate of appreciation and 10,000 Indian rupees + participation in a free photography workshop in Iran Culture House, New Delhi

3^rd place: certificate of appreciation and 7000 Indian rupees + participation in a free photography workshop in Iran Culture House, New Delhi

• Indian Islamic Architecture (Masjids & Imambadas) theme:

1^st place: Certificate of appreciation and 15,000 Indian rupees + participation in a free photography workshop in Iran Culture House, New Delhi

2^nd runner-up: Certificate of appreciation and 10,000 Indian rupees + participation in a free photography workshop in Iran Culture House, New Delhi

3^rd place: certificate of 7000 Indian rupees + participation in a free photography workshop in Iran Culture House, New Delhi

Also, 10 winners of the competition will be given a certificate of appreciation and the opportunity to participate in a free workshop.
