The 42nd and 43rd International Quran Competitions will be held in the holy city of Mashhad in January 2027.
As part of efforts to promote Quranic culture and strengthen solidarity among the Muslim community, the 43rd International Quran Competition will be held in the holy city of Mashhad in January 2027 (Dey 1405), bringing together prominent Quran reciters and memorizers from across the Muslim world.
The final stage of the 42nd International Quran Competition, which was scheduled to be held last winter with the participation of selected contestants from 58 countries, was postponed for various reasons, including the outbreak of the Third Imposed War. Accordingly, based on the plans and arrangements that have been made, the 42nd and 43rd editions of the International Quran Competition are scheduled to be held in Dey this year.
This edition of the competition aims to honor Quranic scholars and talents, expand cultural exchanges, and promote the teachings of the Holy Quran, providing a platform for greater understanding and the exchange of experiences among Quranic scholars and activists from different countries.
It is worth noting that those interested can visit the official information portal of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s International Quran Competition at www.quraniran.ir for the latest news, announcements, and official information about this edition.
