The 12th Graduation ceremony of Excel vocational Training Center, Bombo
The function was graced by Hajat Khadijah Namyalo, the presidential Advisor on political affairs, Sheikh Muhammad Galabuzi, the Supreme Mufti of Uganda, Mr. Abdollah Abbasi, the Iranian Cultural Counsellor, religious leaders, media partners such as Salam TV, Baba TV, Bukedde Tv, Sanyuka Tv, BBS TV and 17 radio stations among other invited guests.
This institute was established on 19th February 2006 by Mr. Mwanje Shafiq who is the proprietor and principal of the training college with 71 employees.
They have managed to enroll 2,000 trainees in both technical and business courses such as Hotel and institutional catering, hair dressing and beauty, industrial art and design with decoration, tailoring and fashion design, motor vehicle mechanics, building and construction, electrical installation and maintenance, welding and metal fabrication, plumbing, journalism, early childhood education and development.
Over 1,172 graduated in the above-mentioned courses with certificates and diplomas.
While speaking, Mr. Mwanje Shafiq, the principal of Excel vocational Training Center appealed to the government of the Republic of Uganda, Islamic Republic of Iran, donor communities and other institutions for the construction of permanent fence, finishing of the storage building, buying an extra piece of land for agricultural production that will cater for food security of the students and staff.
He encouraged participants to always consider creating jobs to solve the unemployment challenge that is crippling the entire world.
He informed participants that Iran is among the rich nations that prioritize their culture, language and national patriotism which is the basis for national development agenda.
He thanked the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran for always supporting the academic institutions and emphasized the need for machinery to the graduates, Ramadhan charity support to students among other things.
He showed a lot of respect to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iranian national anthem was part of the program when the Iranian Cultural Counsellor reached at the graduation ceremony.
He requested for education cooperation with institutions and organizations in the Islamic Republic of Iran through the Iranian embassy in Uganda.
Sheikh Muhammad Galabuzi, the Supreme Mufti of Uganda started with reciting the Quranic verses on the importance of acquiring of knowledge in the society.
He thanked the ministry of education and sports for introducing the new curriculum that is based on practical skills which are employable than the old one which had no effective action and results.

He congratulated participants to the noble cause of improving the lives of Ugandans through skills development and was so happy to be among them.

He thanked the population of the area and the neighborhood for supporting Excel Vocational Training Center through sending students and in-kind support towards its success.
On a special note, he commended the leadership of the Republic of Uganda for good governance and quality leadership that hosted the Iranian President and prime Minister recently which is a gist for future cooperation between two countries.
He informed participants they sent over 70 Ugandan students to Iran to study different courses which they shall continue doing all times God willingly.
He implored students to always look for what’s best in others as there is no Nobody who is perfect. He advised students to use the skills and knowledge acquired to develop their nation in different ways.
Hajat Hadijah Namyalo, the Presidential Advisor on political affairs congratulated graduands
She informed participants that she graduated from Imam Khomeini University in the field of nuclear science and she commended the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
She implored students and participants to take benefit from the current government programmes including parish development models, Youth Livelihoods program among other financial startup projects under the government of the Republic of Uganda.
The Head of Office of the National Chairman (ONC), SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye has commended the Director of Excel Vocational Training Centre in Bombo-Kalule, Mr Mwanje Shafiq for the great work done in spreading the gospel of self-empowerment by imparting vocational skills into the youths.
Namyalo who was speaking as the Chief Guest at the Institution's 12th Graduation Ceremony on Friday, February 23, 2024, said the ONC, which she heads is very well committed to skilling the graduating youths through various initiatives set aside by President Museveni by giving them wealth creation tools.
"Please utilize the talent and skills you've garnered to create a difference in the communities you live in. As Office of the National Chairman, we will continue to give our start-up Capital items to kickstart your journey to prosperity," Namyalo said amid a wave of excitement and ululations from the parents and graduates.
The ONC Boss further urged the graduates and all youths across the country to make use of the various government programs instituted by Jajja Museveni to alleviate poverty among households.
