The Cultural Counselor graced the Nkobazambogo Swearing in Ceremony

The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has called on more youth to join Nkobazambogo, saying the strength of Buganda lies in the unity within the association. Mayiga said this at Bulange Gardens on Tuesday where he presided over the Leadership handover of Nkobazambogo, a Baganda youths association, founded at the university in 1992.

Mr. Abdollah Abbasi,The Cultural counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Uganda attended the swearing in ceremony of the Buganda Kingdom youth association dubbled Nkobazambogo, that strengthen the unity and leadership among the young generation.

This event was attended by the Buganda Kingdom premier, Charles Peter Mayiga,Hon. Henery Ssekabembe, The Minister for the youth and sports among others at Bulange, Mengo in Kampala.

He said that the strength of Buganda lies in the unity within Nkobazambogo. Its membership should shoot up from its current number to accommodate more youths.

He appealed to the youth to consider their studies for a better human resource pool that will handle the needs of the society in different fields of need.

Mr. Kakeeto Hannington, The new chairperson of the Nkobazambogo studies at Al-Mustafa Islamic College, Kyengera said the association brings Baganda youth together to instill in them values of their culture.

While speaking, Prince David Kintu Wassajja requested the youth to be peaceful and use their abilities to develop their country through preservation of their cultural values.

Hon. Henry Ssekabembe,The Minister of youth and sports  appreciated schools and universities for subscribing to the youth association that has enabled students to be attached to their cultural norms and values by emphasizing social discipline.
