CULTURAL COUNSELLOR REITERATES IRAN’S STANCE ON CULTURAL COOPERATION

The Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe, Mr Hamid Bakhtiyar, has today reiterated Iran’s call for closer cultural cooperation with Zimbabwe.
Mr Bakhtiyar made the remarks today whilst officially opening a joint art exhibition between the Cultural Centre of the embassy of Iran and various young visual artists from around Zimbabwe led by seasoned and internationally acclaimed visual artist, Mr Raphael Jamu, that is currently running at the Cultural Centre library in central Harare.
He said that the Cultural Centre’s doors continues to be open for those Zimbabweans who are eager to learn and understand the dynamic Iranian culture.
The Cultural Counsellor noted that Zimbabwe is a country with an abundant artistic talent that awaits the realization of its full potential.
Speaking at the same occasion, influential radio personality, Ms Hazvinei Sakarombe hailed the joint art exhibition, saying that the exhibition is one way of linking and binding people of various cultural backgrounds through such cultural exchange programmes.
The two-day joint exhibition is scheduled to end tomorrow and is expected to be graced by other high profile personalities including foreign diplomats from other countries accredited to Zimbabwe.
