DEPUTY MINISTER OF WOMEN’S AFFAIRS IN ZIMBABWE ASKS IRAN
TO SHOWCASE ITS NATURAL FOODS, HERBAL AND OTHER

CULTURAL PRODUCTS TO ZIMBABWE

The Islamic Republic of Iran is preparing itself to showcase its capabilities in the
production of natural foods, herbal medicines as well as cultural products through
exposing those products to the Zimbabwean public.
In a meeting with the deputy minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and
Medium Enterprises Development in Zimbabwe, Hon. Jennifer Mhlanga at the
Cultural Centre offices in Harare, the Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of the
Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr Hamid Bakhtiyar said that Iran is willing to showcase
its world famous natural teas, herbal medicines as well as many other
internationally acclaimed foods to the people of Zimbabwe through exhibitions as
well as through facilitating the opening of distribution, retail as well as showroom
outlets in Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe.
He said that the Embassy of Iran in Zimbabwe will work with the Ministry of
Women Affairs, Small and Medium Enterprise Development of Zimbabwe to
make that part of the Iranian culture visible and to be appreciated by the
Zimbabwe public.
The Deputy Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium
Enterprises Development in Zimbabwe, Hon. Jennifer Mhlanga, who had called
on the Cultural Counsellor, noted that Zimbabwe wants to explore the Iranian
cultural products through creating synergies with the Iranian product
manufacturers who can facilitate the availability of those products to the
Zimbabwean consumers.
She urged Iran to set up an Iranian showroom for all its products in Harare so as
to allow Zimbabweans to fully appreciate the Iranian products.
The Minister noted that Iran was prospering despite the difficult circumstances
that the country finds itself in.
