IRAN PLEDGES TO FORGE NEW RELATIONS WITH ZIMBABWE’S POLYTECHNICAL INSTITUTIONS

The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe has today (16 February 2024) expressed its readiness to facilitate the twinning of Zimbabwean and Iranian polytechnic institutions as a way of facilitating the exchange of human capital and technical knowledge between the two sister countries

The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe has today (16 February 2024) expressed its readiness to facilitate the twinning of Zimbabwean and Iranian polytechnical institutions as a way of facilitating the exchange of human capital and technical knowledge between the two sister countries.

These remarks were made in Harare today by Iran’s cultural representative in Zimbabwe, Mr. Hamid Bakhtiyar, during a meeting he had with a delegation from Kwekwe Polytechnic, located in the city of Kwekwe.

Mr. Bakhtiyar expressed Iran’s willingness to facilitate the exchange of ideas between Zimbabwean and Iranian technical institutions for the benefit of both countries.

Both parties agreed to undertake joint research programs in the agreed areas of cooperation and to facilitate student and academic exchange programs between Kwekwe polytechnic and Iranian polytechnics.

Mr Bakhtiyar and his guests also agreed to facilitate the signing and exchange of Memorandum of Understanding between the Zimbabwe and Iranian institutions of higher learning.

The delegation from Kwekwe polytechnic was led by Mr Bruno Shora, who is charge of media relations and publicity.
