In a statement issued on Sunday, the General Staff said that Imam Khomein’s ideology of standing up against imperialism has reached the far corners of the world, leading to a change in the calculations and plans of the world’s dominant powers. The statement came on the eve of the death anniversary of Imam Khomeini, the leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution of 1979 who led the country until he died at the age of 86 on June 3, 1989.

In a message to 12th parliament, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei stresses the importance of strengthening and continuing “religious democracy” in Iran. Ayatollah Khamenei said each member of the parliament is a representative of the entire nation which means that the main work of the lawmakers is to secure the country’s national interests.

In a poignant and sorrowful display, the people of Tehran gathered in overwhelming numbers to participate in the funeral ceremony for the late President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian. The air was thick with grief as mourners from every corner of the city came together to honor their martyred president and foreign minister. Their presence and collective sorrow spoke volumes, reflecting a deep sense of loss and reverence for the men who had served their nation with such dedication. The streets echoed with heartfelt tributes, as the populace expressed their profound mourning and unwavering respect for President Raisi and Minister Amir Abdollahian.
