The Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe has, for the first time in more than a decade, hosted the much-celebrated and internationally famed Iranian film festival in Harare.

The visa-waiver program was reportedly approved for India, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Indonesia, Brunei, Japan, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brazil, Peru, Cuba, Mexico, Bolivia, Venezuela, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Belarus, Lebanon, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Mauritania, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, and the Seychelles.

The Iranian movie “Junks and Dolls” by Manijeh Hekmat has been honored at the 22nd Dhaka International Film Festival, which came to an end in the Bangladeshi capital. The film received the Best Feature Film Award in Women Filmmakers Section of the festival.
