The 43rd Tehran International Short Film Festival, aimed at identifying, showcasing, and supporting outstanding short films at the national and international levels, will be held in Tehran from October 17 to 22, 2026.

This edition of the festival, under the theme “Iranian Thought, Global Narrative,” focuses on supporting creative and diverse narratives rooted in Iran’s national, cultural, and lived identities, while moving beyond the reproduction of prevailing stereotypes.

The 43rd Tehran International Short Film Festival will be held in the sections “Iranian Cinema,” “International Cinema,” and the special “Book and Cinema” section. In the Iranian Cinema section, a special award from the “My Homeland, My Story” filmmaking campaign, focusing on the “Ramadan War,” will also be presented to selected works.
