2nd All India Competition for Memorization and Recitation of Holy Quran held in IICC, New Delhi at 22nd September 2022
With the joint cooperation of the Iran Culture House, New Delhi, Iqra Association and the India Islamic Cultural Center New Delhi, a national competition for memorizing and recitipm the Holy Quran was held with the presence of more than one hundred and fifty prominent reciters and memorizers from all over India. It was held in the India Islamic Cultural Center for three days. One hundred and thirty participants competed in two fields of memorization and recitation. The prizes of this round of the competition were Umrah trip for the first position, 35 thousand rupees for the second position and 25 thousand rupees for the 3rd position.
In the opening ceremony, Dr. Ali Rabbani, Cultural Counselor Embassy of I.R.Iran, New Delhi said that the holy Quran a book of guidance and instructions for a happy life of mankind, and referring to the achievements and developments of the Quran after the victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran, he pointed out the Religious, Cultural, Artistic, Research and educational capacities of the Holy Quran as suitable platforms for harmony.
