An International Seminar on Perspective of Religions about the way of life and life style at Aligarh Muslim University
Aligarh Interfaith Centre and Humanities Advanced Studies Institute has organised an International seminar on the perspective of Religions about the way of life and life style at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical Centre Auditorium of Aligarh Muslim University on 9th Dec 2023 in which Dr. Haddad Adel was the Chief Guest and various Iranian and Indian Personalities express their thought provoking ideas and views with the participation of Scholars and teachers of different Universities of India. Simultaneously,scholars from different Religions also express their valuable views with new Dimensions and stress the need for Dialogues.
In the Inaugural speech Dr. Haddad Adel an Iranian Intellectual and former Parliamentarian said that western Culture and Civilization has affected the way of life which resulted the downfall of moral and social values. Imagination of God helps in the every aspect of our life. In his speech he mentioned about Darashikoh Albahrain and its importance. Honorary Guest from Bohra community Shahzada Qusai Bhai said that by love and affection the feeling of brotherhood and cooperation is develop. Love and affection and feeling to help should be universal.
Another Honorary speaker Agha Mehdavipour the Spiritual Representative of Ayatollah Imam Khomeini in India said that Islamic way of life helps every sphere of social life and highlight a lot of moral behaviour. He mentioned about Imam Zainul Abedin (A.S.) teachings about parents, neighbours, Animals and children and ten more rights which we should follow. He further said that Islamic knowledge and teaching has an important position. He hope that this International Seminar will pave way for unity among scholars of different relegions.
While presiding the Inaugural session of the International Conference Prof. Tarique Mansoor the former Vice chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University said that presence of spiritual leader of different communities on one platform is really very appreciable and is the need of the hour. He congratulated Prof. S.M. Naqvi for this conference. He further said that through dialogue confrontation can be solved.
Prof. Naqvi in his welcome speech emphasized and stressed that the views of different religious scholars will help to under stand how Islam will help in maintaining Unity and peace in society.
Christian Spiritual Scholars Father Dr. M.D. Thomas said that faith in God is really a spirituality Human should have to build up connection with other religionsas it also encourages humanity, unity and Universal brotherhood.
Jain spiritual leader Vivek Muni said that live and let others to live should be the philosophy of life through exchange of views and dialogue the solution of the problems will come. He highlighted the teaching of Mahavir Jain.
Dr. Vijendra Nandan Das the Vice President of ISKON emphasized on the spiritual enlightenment.
The 2nd session of the conference was done under the presidentship of Prof. Mohd Gulrez the Vice Chancellor of AMU who emphasized on the importance of Dialogue and exchange of views and further said that it is the need of the present era. He mentioned about Russia Ukraine conflict and Palestine Israel war and mentioned about brutalities and inhuman treatment to them. In this scenario the role of spiritual leaders becomes more important.
Mr. Haji Mustafa from Kuwait also spoke about western and Eastern Culture and its effect on society.
After the seminar an academic session took place in which scholars from Alzahra University Iran also express her views.
Various scholar and professors from different universities of India presented their papers in the academic session which continued next day.
Organizers will try their best to compile these views and papers into the form of book.
