One of the renowned professors of Persian language and Dean, Faculty of Literature of Shahid Beheshti University, spoke on Ferdowsi's significance in Persian literature. Referring to the attacks on Iran in different periods, he said: "The Mongol and Arab Arab invasions of Iran have been the most effective and Iran is one of the few countries that accepted & adopted Islam with kindness and open hearts." It also rendered valuable services to Islam. It has added that language is the key to the national identity of any country, and with the Arab invasion, it was thought that Arabic would replace Persian, but this did not happen and it has specific reasons. First of all, special social and political developments caused the foundations of the tendency of the Persian language to remain stable, such as the Samanids' emphasis on composing poems in the Persian language. He added that the Iranians paid a lot of attention to the Pahlavi and Persian languages and were not willing to leave that. In another part of his speech, he discussed the features of the Shahnameh and added; In addition to preserving the national identity of Iranians, Shahnameh also strengthens religious principles because Ferdowsi, as a rationalist Muslim, was strongly influenced by Islamic and Shiite thought, and his Shahnameh is a reflection of his Shiite ideas.
