Iran’s Cultural Counselor visited Sahitya Akadmi

Dr. Fariduddin Faridasr, Cultural Counselor of I.R. Iran, Delhi and Qahraman Soleimani, Director Persian Research Center, Iran Culture House, visited Sahitiya Akademi & met, with Dr. K. Sri Nivasrao, Member Secretary, Sahitya Akademi and discussed bout cultural cooperation between the two countries and the implementation of joint projects.

Iran’s Cultural Counselor visited Sahitya Akademi

 On Tuesday, the 5th of September, 2023 Dr. Fariduddin Faridasr, Cultural Counselor of I.R. Iran, Delhi and Qahraman Soleimani, Director Persian Research Center, Iran Culture House, visited Sahitiya Akademi & met, with Dr. K. Sri Nivasrao, Member Secretary, Sahitya Akademi and discussed bout cultural cooperation between the two countries and the implementation of joint projects.

In this meeting, Mr. Nivasrao, the director of the academy, while referring to the cultural links between Iran and India from the earliest days until now, said: among the cultural agencies of other countries in Delhi, this akademy has the most closeness and cooperation with cultural institutions of Iran, and we have had beneficial cooperation during the past decades, and we hope that with the presence of the new Cultural Counselor, we will be able to continue the work with better quality and more speed. This academy does not place any restrictions on cooperation with Iran and considers the expansion of cooperation in cultural fields as the development of Indian culture.

Further, Dr. Fariduddin Faridasr, referring to the history and status of the common culture of the two countries, the empathy and companionship of the officials of Indian cultural institutions in expanding cultural relations, expressed his hope that the cooperation between the two institutions will expand even more.

In this meeting, Qahraman Soleimani, Director, Persian Research Center, explained some study and academic projects in the field of Persian language & literature. Referring to the contribution of India and Indian teachers in the spread of Persian language, he said: One of these important projects, which has been ongoing for more than two decades, is the creation of the four-language Dictionary of "Aryan", which is the largest culture that has been written in the eight centuries since the presence of the Persian language in India.
