Sa’di Award to Persian Professors The 10th Sa’di Literary Award Ceremony was held in appreciation of Persian Professors for their valuable contributions in Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

In this ceremony, which was attended by the Dr. Haddad Adel, Chairman, Academy of the Persian Language and Literature the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. faridoddin FaridASr, Cultural Counselor of I.R. Iran- New Delhi, Mr. Qaherman Soleimani, Persian Research Center, Iran Culture House, New Delhi, and a group of Indian Persian language professors and students of this country Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, four prominent Persian professors of India were honored during  3 day 38th All India Persian Teachers Association Conference organized by department of the Persian, JMI, New Delhi.

According to the Cultural Counselor of I.R. Iran- New Delhi, the selection of the winners was based on the work submitted by the participants, and an attempt was made to convert qualitative information into quantitative information in the form of a regulatory worksheet.

Dr. Farid Asr added: Completing the scoring form was the responsibility of a group of judges, and scoring and final selection in the second stage was the responsibility of another group. In total, more than 40 works from different parts of India were received.

He added: This year, two other awards were considered apart from awards in previous years, including:

1. The Persian Research Center of New Delhi presented an award for the first time titled “Cataloguing of Persian Manuscripts in India”.

2. The Noor International Microfilm Center, New Delhi of also presented an award titled “Identification of Persian Manuscripts in India”.

the winners are as follows:

Professors in this field Out of more than 40 papers received from professors, two people who scored the highest points were selected for the 10th Sa’di Award:

1. Professor Syed Akhtar Hussain Kazmi, Professor of Persian Language at the Center for Persian and Central Asian Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India

2. Professor Aziz Banu, Professor, Department of Persian, Maulana Azad National University, Hyderabad, India

The Persian Research Center presents its first award in the field of publishing a list of Persian manuscripts in India to Professor Sharif Hussain Qasemi for cataloguing and publishing a list of manuscripts and printed copies of Bidl's works.

The Noor International Microfilm Center, New Delhi, honored the efforts of researchers in the field of Persian language, presents its first award in the field of identifying Persian manuscripts in India to the researcher Mr. Rezvan Ali.
