A group of seven Persian language and literature Professors from Indian universities left for Iran on Friday, January 5th, 2024, for enhancing their proficiency in Persian Language and Literature.

Scholars from Jawaharlal Nehru university, Kashmir university, Aligarh Muslim university, Shanti Niketan university, Lucknow university, Kargil State College and Maulana Azad College of Kolkata will participate and during their three-week stay in Iran will focus on bibliography, cataloging and contemporary Iranian literature. This will also provides an opportunity to know each other.

The visiting professors will visit the important Cultural and Historical centers of Iran and will meet and talk with the professors of Persian language and literature in different universities. In addition, this group will also participate in various cultural and scientific meetings.

This group was sent with the efforts of the Persian Research Center of Iran Culture House, New Delhi, and they will be hosted and trained by the Sa’adi Foundation.

Get together ceremony of this group, was held at Iran Culture House in Delhi in which Dr. Faridoddin Farid Asr, the Cultural Counselor of I.R.Iran, New Delhi, considers the usefulness of these courses both from the point of view of increasing scientific ability and understanding of Iran and Iran's cultural heritage, as well as being in a new set and circle of scientific and cultural connections. He showed his readiness to publish if they prepare their trip in the form of travelognt.

Mr. Qahraman Soleimani, Director of the Persian Research Center, advised the participants to use the opportunity to benefit as much as possible.

He said that for this course, the Sa’adi Foundation has the cooperation of the National Library of Iran and Tarbiat Modares University.

The Director of the Research Center, while expressing his past experiences, described the courses of the Saadi Foundation with favorable scientific standards and expressed his hope that the next courses will focus more to  increase the knowledge of the Persian language, both in India and in Iran, with the participation of Persian language teachers.
