The festival began with the screening Indian films Roopantara and in the international section by screening films from foreign countries including Iran, Azerbaijan, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, South Korea and Nepal. In this festival, which was held with the support of the Suchitra Film Academy, Film Federation of India, the Kolkata International Film Festival and the Iran Culture House in Mumbai, the film In the Arms of Tree was screened as a representative of Iranian cinema.

The 263 No. of a special issue on "Islam & Fine Arts" of the quarterly Journal of "Rah-e-Islam (Urdu) has been published.
