In commemoration of the 1500th birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Unity Week, 26th round Quran Recitation and Memorization Competition to going to held in Iran Culture House, New Delhi.

This significant Quranic event, aimed at promoting divine teachings, enhancing the connection of Indian Muslims with the Holy Quran, and fostering Islamic unity, is being organized by Culture House of Islamic Republic of Iran, New Delhi in collaboration with the Cultural Section of Embassy of Iraq in New Delhi. The competition will take place over two days, starting Monday, September 8 - 9,  2025, at Iran Culture House, New Delhi

This year, over 200 participants from 15 states across India registered for the competition. Following preliminary rounds and initial evaluations, 75 finalists have been selected to compete in two categories: full Quran Memorization and Recitation. Additionally, an online Quran interpretation segment was held with 150 participants, out of whom three top performers will be recognized and awarded.

The competition features five distinguished judges from Iran, India, and Iraq, including two judges from Iran, two from India, and one from Iraq. They will assess participants based on recitation quality, voice, tone, and adherence toTajweedrules.

The opening ceremony will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM. It will be attended by religious figures, cultural personalities, Quran scholars, and members of the Muslim community in New Delhi. Speakers will highlight the importance of promoting the Quran among youth, the unifying role of the Quran in the Islamic world, and the spiritual significance of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

The closing ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 7:00 PM, coinciding with the grand celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birth anniversary. The event will take place at Iran Culture House, New Delhi. During this ceremony, winners will be announced and honored with awards and certificates of appreciation. The program will also feature cultural and artistic performances aligned with the celebration.

This competition stands as one of the most prominent Quranic events in the Indian subcontinent, offering a platform for exchanging Quranic experiences, strengthening cultural and religious ties among Islamic nations, and promoting a culture of peace, spirituality, and solidarity among Muslims.
