In line with promoting Islamic teachings and culture and strengthening religious and cultural ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Sri Lanka, Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Mr. Rajabi, a cleric dispatched from the Islamic Republic of Iran, participated in a special program broadcast by the National Radio of Sri Lanka on Tuesday, 23 June 2025 (2 Tir 1404), during which he recited verses from the Holy Qur'an.

Through an eloquent and artistic style of recitation, Hojjat al-Islam Rajabi presented selected verses from the Holy Qur'an, introducing Sri Lankan audiences to the spiritual and artistic traditions of Qur'anic recitation in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The presence of the Iranian cleric on Sri Lanka's national media can be regarded as an effective step toward the development of cultural and religious diplomacy, as well as the strengthening of mutual understanding among followers of different religions and cultures.

Broadcasting the recitation of the Holy Qur'an through national media outlets not only promotes the ethical, spiritual, and human values contained in the Qur'anic message, but also provides an appropriate platform for introducing shared human values and deepening the friendly relations between the peoples of Iran and Sri Lanka.
