CULTURAL CENTRE OF THE EMBASSY OF IRAN WINS PRIZE AT THE JUST ENDED ZIMBABWE TOURISM EXPO, 2024

16 September 2024 The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe, under the stewardship of Mr Hamid Bakhtiyar, the Cultural Counsellor, has won the Second Runner Up Best International Stand at the just ended 14th Edition of the Sanganai / Hlanganani World Tourism Expo that closed in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s commercial hub, on Saturday, 14 September 2024.

The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Iran was representing the Islamic Republic of Iran at the global Expo.

The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Iran was participating at the Expo for the second year running, having taken part in the 2023 edition.

The Cultural Centre was awarded the prize after Mr Bakhtiyar had given the Expo judges a flawless, classical and meticulous presentation of Iran as a global tourism destination and cultural hub. It was a fluent presentation that left the judges puzzled.

The winning Iranian stand captured all the main elements of Iranian tourism and hospitality, as it appealed to the tourists seeking to discover the hidden secrets of the beauty of Iran as a destination worth exploring.

Over 10 countries exhibited at the Expo as international exhibitors.

The Prize was given under the seal of Zimbabwe’s minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Mrs Babra Rwodzi

Tourism South Africa wore the Best International Stand.
