Speaking during his meeting with Maulana Musa Menk, the Founder of Majlis Ulama in Harare this Monday, 30 June 2025, Mr Bakhtiyar said the unity of all Muslims in resisting Israel’s continued occupation and bombardment of Palestine, especially Gaza, would ensure the attainment of peace and the sustenance of a free, sovereign and independent Palestinian state. The meeting was held at Maulana Menk’s residence in Harare.

Mr Bakhtiyar also voiced his support for the educational empowerment of nations as a tool that can drive the development agenda of those nations and in insurance of their prosperity and socio-economic growth.

On his part, Maulana Menk, who is a long-time friend of the Islamic Republic of Iran, welcomed and appreciated the visit by Mr Bakhtiyar.

He said Iran is a great and peaceful country that always strives for and fights for the oppressed people of the world, especially those in Palestine. He emphasized that Iran has a bigger role to play in global affairs.

He condemned the unprovoked attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran by Israel and said that Iran did well in fighting back as it reserved the right to defend its self against the aggressors. He hailed Iran for being the victor in the 12-day unprovoked war.

Maulana Menk also castigated the rogue state of Israel for its brutality against the people of palestine, who also deserves to live peacefully in their own country. He said all Muslims of the world should unite in calling for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine as well as an end to the continuous killing and subjugation of the innocent Palestinians.

He called for the unity of Muslims in Zimbabwe. He said his organization is currently working towards the educational empowerment of the youth as well as in the propagation of Islam in the country. As they are key components in addressing these challenges while underscoring the importance of collective action in promoting Islam, in peace, development stability.
