The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe, led by Iran’s Charge d’ Affairs, this Wednesday, 2nd July 2025 met with Zimbabwe’s minister of Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture Ms Emily Jesiah in Harare to discuss the growing relations between Iran and Zimbabwe as well as to discuss the pending signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of Culture and Culture between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Zimbabwe.
The meeting, convened at the Ministry’s Head Offices in Harare, was attended by the Embassy of Iran Charge d’ Affairs, Mr Ali Tousi, the Cultural Counsellor, Mr Hamid Bakhtiyar and the Second Secretary, Mr Naseri Assiabi.
The meeting discussed ways to expand relations between Zimbabwe and Iran, and emphasized the promotion of bilateral cultural relations.
Ms. Jessia also condemned the provocative actions of the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran, actions that led to the imposed twelve-day war between Iran and Israel.
