IRANIAN AMBASSADOR TO ZIMBABWE APPRECIATES ZIMBABWE STUDENTS
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Zimbabwe, Mr Abbas Navazani and the Cultural Counsellor at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe, Mr Hamid Bakhtiyar, today visited Fatima Zahra (as) college to appreciate the role played by the school in welcoming the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Dr Ebrahim Raisi who was in Zimbabwe for a One Day State visit late last week. President Raisi was in Zimbabwe on the last leg of his maiden Three Nation African tour to forge new partnerships with the African continent. The presence of the school children at Robert Mugabe International airport and their subsequent performance impressed the dignitaries, including President Raisi, who later posed for photographs with the school leaners. And today, in showing appreciation to the students, H.E. the Ambassador presented some prizes to the children, the teachers as well as to the administrators of the college, Sheikh Abdullah Makwinja and Madam Makwinja. H.E Mr Navazani was full of praise for the children, whom he wished well in all their future endeavors. He also praised Sheikh Makwinja and Madam Hajira Makwinja for moulding children whose future is destined for greater heights.
