5th Graduation ceremony of Islamic Call University College, Old Kampala

The graduation ceremony attracted diplomatic representatives from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Algeria, Somalia, Libya, Sudan, government officials such as Hon. Dr.John Chrysostom Muyingo, the minister of state for Higher education,Hajat Minsa Kabanda, the Minister for Kampala Capital City Authority and metropolitan affairs, Dr. Ismail Gyagenda, the vice chancellor of Islamic University in Uganda, Dr. Waldh Rajab Gyagenda, the vice chancellor of Kampala University, members of Parliament, members of the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council, religious leaders, academicians from institutions of higher learning, media partners among others. According to the management, 18 students graduated in certificate courses, 16 students in diploma courses, 129 students in degrees, 8 students in postgraduate courses and 61 students in community outreach making total of 209 graduates received their awards in various disciplines such as Education,Business administration, Information Technology, Islamic Banking and finance, Islamic studies and Arabic language, Procurement, supplies and Logistics management, Human resources management, Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies, Public administration, Computer Science among others.

His Eminence Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda and Chancellor of the Islamic call University college congratulated the Iranian government for defending its sovereignty and the image of Islam against the Zionist regime in the recent war in Middle East. He also congratulated students and parents upon this year's graduation ceremony at Islamic Call University College in Old Kampala. He rallied participants that religious leaders have to be with different professionals to the level of masters to meet the global standards especially to fit the position of the Mufti.

He called upon the government, international partners and well wishers to support the growing academic institution to realize its mission and vision. 

Hajat Minsa Kabanda, the Minister of Kampala Capital City Authority and metropolitan affairs congratulated students, lecturers and parents upon the 5th graduation ceremony and rallied participants to always consider Education as a tool to improve their communities through excellence and service delivery. Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo, the Minister of state for Education thanked the Muslim community for investing in education and spiritual growth. He implored participants to stick to Islamic values as they serve others in the community to ensure prosperity and growth. He rallied students to always use their skills and knowledge attained for value addition in realising socioeconomic transformation. He noted that Uganda is currently stable with good infrastructures, security and good governance that must be translated in job creation and innovation.
