The delegation was led by His Excellecy Mehdi Salehi, The Iranian Ambassador to Uganda accompanied by Mr. Abdollah Abbasi, the acting Iranian Cultural Consular.

During the meeting, Hajat Minsa Kabanda, minister for Kampala Capital City and metropolitan affairs was delighted to host the Iranian diplomats and shared areas of interest which included but not limited to  boosting tourism and trade sector

While speaking, His Excellecy Mehdi Salehi appreciated the hospitality of the honorable Minister and praised the rich Cultural values ​​of the pearl of Africa that attract every guest from all over the world.

He said that Islamic Republic of Iran has about 10,000,000 people enrolled at different institutions of higher learning which shows that they've build human resource development in all fields for workforce.

Speaking about tourism, the Iranian Cultural Consular,Mr. Abdollah Abbasi said that they will organize cultural exchange programs between Uganda and Islamic Republic of Iran
