Last year, a haunting image was etched into our collective memory—a picture divided into two frames.
On the left stood the child abusers, whose unspeakable cruelty was only partially exposed through the Epstein Files scandal. On the right stood our beloved Supreme Leader, surrounded by little angels who had just whispered their very first prayers.
Not long after that image was completed, the darkness from the left frame broke into the right. Hundreds of innocent girls and boys were taken from this world, along with our Supreme Leader. Dreams were silenced, futures were stolen, and countless families were left carrying a grief beyond words.
This year, inspired by Minab, we turn our attention to those families. We sit beside fathers and mothers whose children have fallen victim to the Epsteins of the world—parents who wake each morning and shoulder the quiet, crushing weight of loss before stepping back into a world that has moved on without them.
Perhaps they never imagine their voices could travel beyond the walls of their homes. Perhaps, like the mothers and fathers of Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Bosnia, and so many other places, time has passed, but grief remains—written not in words, but in the lines etched across their faces.
The International Section of the 15th edition of 100-Second Film Festival seeks to become a platform for these unheard voices. Today, our arms are open to the stories of parents whose sorrow has too often remained unseen. We want their memories, their love, and their resilience to be heard across borders and generations.
Wherever they are in the world, their children mattered. Their grief matters. And their stories deserve to be told.

Submission and Participation Guidelines
- Registration and submissions must be completed through the festival website at www.100fest.com.
Submission of the application form indicates acceptance of all festival regulations.
- Each submission must include the following:
A copy of the director’s national ID or passport. A high-quality portrait photo of the director.
A photo from the film.
A 60–100-word summary of the film.
- Each work can only be submitted by one producer. Filmmakers, institutions, government organizations, and private producers are welcome, provided a single producer is designated.
- There is no limit to the number of submissions per individual or organization.
- The following are ineligible:
* Members of the festival’s organizing, selection, or jury committees.
- Works submitted in previous editions.
- Films widely distributed on television or online platforms.
- Films produced before March 2025 (Farvardin 1404).
Non-compliance with these rules will result in disqualification.
- The festival reserves the right to:
- Screen submitted works online.
- Use submitted works for promotional purposes.
- Showcase works at affiliated events
- By submitting a film to the 100 Film Festival, the producer of the work, or their legal representative, grants the Festival Secretariat full authorization to screen the film in cinemas, on television, at other international film festivals, and within short-film club programs, without financial gain. By doing so, the producer or representative waives any right to object to such use.
- Selected films must obtain an exhibition license from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. The festival secretariat will facilitate this process.
- A work can participate in only one primary category (National or International). However, inclusion in the "Farasad" focus does not affect eligibility for other categories.
- Third-party use of the submitted works is permitted solely when the Festival’s logo or official attribution caption is displayed alongside the work.
- The screening schedule for submitted works will be determined by the Festival Secretariat.
- Works may not be withdrawn after submission unless approved by the festival secretariat.
- The Festival Secretariat shall have sole authority to determine and resolve any issues not provided for in the Festival’s regulations and conditions.
