The evolution of the family from the Prophetic era to the present will be examined.

Organized by the General Directorate for the Development of Scientific and University Cooperation of the Cultural Organization, the international symposium “The Course of the Family Institution from the Age of the Prophet (PBUH) to the Contemporary Era” will be presented.

 

According to the Public Relations of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the scholarly session “Transformations of the Family from the Prophetic Era to the Present and Ways to Overcome Contemporary Family Challenges” will be held virtually on Monday, 19 Mordad, at 14:00 Iran time, with the participation of a number of distinguished domestic and international scholars and professors. Scientific and cultural solutions for confronting today’s family challenges will be discussed.

 

This session will examine various aspects of family transformations from the perspective of international law, transnational family studies, and interactions within the realm of Islamic culture and civilization, and experts will present their specialized viewpoints.

Speakers in the program include Satria Oeygol, Associate Professor of International Law and Dean of the Faculty of Law at Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya, Indonesia; Mohammad-Ali Rabbani, Director General for the Development of Scientific and University Cooperation at the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization; Rima Faris, university lecturer and senior analyst on international affairs from Lebanon; and Fatemeh Ebrahimi, Dean of the Faculty of Family Sciences at Alzahra University.
