Meeting of Mr. Hossein Pour,, and Mr. Shakeri, with the Ambassador of the I.R.Iran in the Philippines

First, Mr. Esmaeil Zadeh, while extending a warm welcome, briefly introduced himself and expressed his pleasure and happiness at the opportunity for this meeting. He considered the holding of such meetings as a factor in strengthening and expanding relations in the field of public and cultural diplomacy.

Following this, our country's ambassador, while appreciating the valuable efforts of the Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in establishing connections with some cultural, artistic, and religious institutions in the Philippines in line with the development of public and cultural diplomacy, provided explanations regarding the geopolitics or political geography of the Republic of the Philippines and the diplomatic relations between the two countries. Expressing satisfaction with the peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians in the Philippines, he emphasized the importance of the good and growing participation of Muslims in the cultural, social, and developmental affairs of the society. He further pointed out the existing opportunities for participation and cooperation in cultural, artistic, religious, and spiritual programs between the two countries and considered supporting and strengthening the Cultural Counselor's efforts as essential.

In the end, Mr. Esmaeil Zadeh emphasized that, in addition to the cooperation in the implementation of the above programs, activities in the economic field between the two countries have started and there is a readiness to establish extensive relations with Philippine companies in the field of export and import.

Mr. Hossein Pour, the honorable Deputy for Management and Resource Development, also extended his condolences on the mourning days of the month of Muharram and the martyrdom of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (PBUH). He expressed gratitude to His Excellency the Ambassador for his explanations and updates on the latest political developments and bilateral relations between the two countries. He then mentioned that, considering the thorough understanding of the honorable head of the organization regarding the scope of international activities of cultural representations within the framework of relevant international laws and based on the programs issued by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, which cultural representatives implement in coordination with ambassadors, and given the precise understanding that the late Ayatollah Raisi had of the organization’s mission, the topics of family protection, Iranians abroad, and interfaith dialogue were assigned to the organization in a cabinet meeting, and fortunately, part of this work has progressed. He further stated that Dr. Martyr Raisi believed in jihadist work, which requires a jihadist mindset and spirit. Therefore, if someone does not have a jihadist mindset and spirit, it is not possible to discuss jihadist action with them.

In general, it is jihadist thinking and action that give work its potential and make it effective. On this basis, the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization is also seeking to optimize and increase efficiency through jihadist thinking and action in its transformation efforts. He further mentioned that for effective and desirable activities, the scope of cultural activities must be expanded, which requires easy access for all social groups to the Cultural Counselor’s office. The current geographical location does not offer this capability, and a serious decision must be made as soon as possible in this regard. In conclusion, Mr. Hossein Pour, while thanking the ambassador for his support and participation in various cultural programs, expressed hope that the suitable platform will be provided soon, and with a jihadist spirit and continued support from His Excellency for Mr. Abolghasemi, cultural activities will continue more strongly than before.
