Conclusion of the Fourth In-Person Beginner-Level Course in Persian Language and Literature, Hyderabad, India

The fourth beginner-level Persian language course was successfully conducted in collaboration with the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai (representing the Saadi Foundation) and under the supervision of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Hyderabad. Classes were held in person at the Consulate General premises in Hyderabad.

The course commenced on June 11, 2025 (21 Khordad 1404) and concluded on October 9, 2025 (17 Mehr 1404) with the administration of the final examination. The sessions were led by Ms. Shabnam Radman, an experienced instructor of Persian for non-native speakers, who taught using the Tooti textbook published by the Saadi Foundation. Over the span of 30 sessions, each lasting two hours, learners were guided through the fundamentals of Persian language and literature.

A total of 27 learners registered, with approximately 20 attending classes regularly. By the end of the course, 15 participants successfully completed the program, and 12 sat for the final examination.

At this beginner level, instruction focused on the Persian alphabet, consonants, and vowels, while also introducing learners to basic sentence construction and the simple present and past tenses. Beyond language acquisition, the curriculum incorporated lessons on Iranian culture and civilization, which were warmly received and appreciated by the participants.
