The event marked a significant moment in Indo-Iranian cultural exchange, drawing a diverse and distinguished audience. Held on Friday, the opening ceremony featured the screening of The Night the Moon Was Full, a gripping drama inspired by true events. The film was presented in the presence of its director, Nargis Abyar, whose body of work includes critically acclaimed titles such as Shiyar 143, Nafs, and Ablaq. Abyar’s presence added depth to the evening, as she engaged with attendees and shared insights into her creative process and the socio-cultural themes explored in her films.

The event was attended by a vibrant mix of film enthusiasts, art lovers, and key figures from the Telugu film industry. Notable guests included:

  • Gurjit Sange, CEO and Founder of FRL Events
  • Suman Talwar, Indian film actor
  • Mir Ali Hassan Shahriar, Vice President of the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce
  • K. K. Radha Mohan, film producer
  • Ashok Kumar Harkara, Secretary of Moving Images Film Club
  • Faisi Healy, Founder of Moving Images Company

Also present were representatives from the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce, local government officials, media personnel, and the Consuls General of Turkey and Afghanistan.

Following the screening, the film was described by attendees as “profound and shocking at the same time.” Actor Suman Talwar praised the film’s emotional depth, stating:

“This film not only narrates a true story but also delves into deep emotional and social dimensions that resonate with our culture.”

In her address to the media, Nargis Abyar expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to connect with Indian audiences:
