The 35th Surjkund International Handicrafts Mella is going in Faridabad Haryana, India with the participation of artists from the Islamic Republic of Iran and other countries. The Islamic Republic of Iran is participated in this exhibition by having two stalls for expedition artists and a booth for cultural consulting. Four artists in the field of tapestry, needlework, kilim weaving and silver from Isfahan, Zanjan and Mazandaran are participating Culture House of Islamic Republic of Iran New Delhi is having a stall to introduce a variety of handicrafts and art books. Uzbekistan is the special guest in this Exhibition. In addition to handicrafts, other countries is also participating in the music and street performances. This round of the exhibition has been largely covered by media.
Occupying a place of pride on the international tourist calendar, more than a million visitors throng this fair during the fortnight including thousands of foreign tourists. The Surajkund Mela is unique as it showcases the richness and diversity of the handicrafts, handlooms and cultural fabric of India, & is the largest crafts fair in the world.
