The Cultural Council of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Nairobi is pleased to announce exciting scholarship opportunities for those seeking higher education in Iran. These scholarships are provided by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The peaceful interaction of Islam with other religions and beliefs, including the religious and national beliefs of Iranians, was the reason that Nowruz did not disappear from the Islamic society of Iran. In Islam and especially in Shiism, Nowruz is viewed as a blessed day and it is emphasized to honor it.

The Iranian qari visited Kenya and recited the Holy Quran in a number mosques in Nairobi and Mombasa as well as several radio and television channels during his stay in the East African country.

Shakernejad holds a PhD in Quranic Studies and is both a Quran reciter and memorizer. He has won top rankings in numerous international Quran competitions

At a special ceremony held at Tehran's Vahdat Hall on Tuesday, the leading publications in various categories of the 42nd Iran’s Book of the Year Awards and 32nd Iran’s World Book Awards were recognized.
