Iran Participates at the 2024 Rendille Cultural Festival in Marsabit County
Dr. Ali Pourmarjan gave a speech at the Rendile cultural festival in Marsabit County and to open this festival.
On Saturday 24th September 2024 the Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of Iran Nairobi Dr. Ali Pourmarjan was invited to participate and give a speech at the Rendile cultural festival in Marsabit County Northern Kenya and to open this festival.
In addition, the Cultural Counselor met with the Speaker of the County government of Marsabit and the County Executive Committee Member incharge of Culture.
The Rendille Food and Cultural Festival, organized by the Pastoralist Peoples Initiative (PPI), is a three-day event dedicated to celebrating and preserving the unique cultural heritage of the Rendille people. Held in Loglogo, Marsabit County, from August 23rd to 25th, 2024, the festival aims to showcase traditional songs, dances, foods, and ceremonies. It also provides a platform for cultural exchange, intergenerational learning, and discussions on climate change adaptation.
