He acknowledged Imam Khomeini as a prominent Shia figure who dedicated himself to implementing the rules and Sharia of Allah, while introducing the Islamic system of governance to society.

The speaker emphasized that Imam Khomeini manifested his unwavering resistance to the entire world. Throughout numerous challenges, he stood firm without the slightest retreat. Mr. Mortazavinia defined resistance as a natural phenomenon and an instinctive reaction. Whenever there is injustice or tyranny, individuals automatically take action against it, thereby demonstrating resistance.

Mr. Mortazavinia also emphasized the importance of resistance for society as a whole. He asserted that the only path for a nation to obtain its rights and achieve its goals is through resistance. He cited examples from Africa, where nations that gained independence resisted colonialists and the excessive demands of Western powers. Instead, he started his movement by writing a book that exposed the flaws of the Shah's regime, asserting that Islam was the true ideology. Through his guidance, Imam Khomeini led the Iranian nation to a successful victory in the Islamic Revolution against the Shah.

Hon. Syed Hassan Albeity highlighted Imam Khomeini's belief in the Qur'an as the book of law and emphasized that the Qur'anic instructions implicitly emphasize the need for a political system and social order. Imam Khomeini saw these as essential for the growth of human gnosis and spiritual progress. The speaker argued that many democracies have failed and continue to do so, asserting that the most fruitful governance system is "willayatul-Faqih."

Recalling an interaction between Michel Gorbachev and Imam Khomeini, Hon. Albeity mentioned that Gorbachev had asked the Imam about freedom of speech in Iran. The Imam responded affirmatively but added that freedom of speech comes with responsibility, cautioning against its misuse. The speaker also recalled Imam Khomeini's letter to Gorbachev, in which the Imam addressed the absence of true faith in God as the primary problem facing Gorbachev's country.

Quoting one of Imam Khomeini's famous statements during challenging times, Hon. Albeity reiterated the Imam's words: "If our enemies besiege us economically, we are the children of 'Ramadhan,' and if they besiege us militarily, we are the children of 'Ashuraa'."
