The ceremony of Yalda celebration was held with the title of "Hafez Reciting on the Yalda Night" in the presence of resident compatriots, the esteemed Ambassador and other members of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Manila.

This program started at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, 30th of Azar, 1402, equivalent to December 21, 2023, by playing videos about the Yalda Night, then the Cultural Counselor, Mr. Abdolmajid Abolghasemi, congratulated the audience on the arrival of the Yalda Night and added Yalda Night or Chelle Night is one of the oldest traditions of Iranians, which entered the official calendar of ancient Iranians in the chronology of ancient Iranians from 502 BC during the time of Darius the first, and is celebrated by Iranians all over the world every year at the end of autumn.  Chelle Night Festival is one of the oldest Iranian festivals, which was registered as a world heritage site on Azar 9, 1401. This celebration commemorates the passage of the longest night of the year followed by the lengthening of the days in the Northern Hemisphere, which coincides with the winter solstice. He then read some verses from the book Divan Lisan-al-Ghaib by Khwaja Shamsuddin Muhammad Hafez Shirazi for the audience.

Then Mr. Esmaeil Zadeh, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic, while congratulating the audience on Yalda Night, appreciated the actions and efforts of Cultural Center in organizing the ceremony of "Hafez Reciting on the Yalda Night" and said that the philosophy of holding Yalda Night is adherence to authentic Iranian customs and traditions. Forgetting the turbidity and in one word, being happy and satisfied with each other and wishing everyone success, prosperity and happiness alongside their loved ones.

In following, the wife of the Cultural Counselor who is one of the classical poets of our country, while congratulating and happy Yalda Night celebration, during Hafez Reciting ceremony, she recited verses from Hafez's Divan Ghazliat, enriching the gathering with the spirit of this auspicious night, wishing everyone present good fortune as they reflected upon the Divan of Hafez Shirazi.

The program featured the broadcast of musical performances by Iranian traditional music groups, reciting verses from Divan Hafez by some guests were other memorable programs of this night.
