Chennai, India - on April 22, 2024 - The much-anticipated Iranian Film Festival kicked off with a spectacular lamp lighting ceremony Mr. Mohammad Reza Fazel Director Iran Culture House Mumbai Invited as Chief Guest in Film festival illuminated the festival with their presence and attended by other dignitaries. Mr. AVM K Shanmugam, the General Secretary, along with Mr. E. Thangaraj, the former General Secretary, and other guests.

Mr. Mohammad Reza Fazel Director Iran Culture House Mumbai Invited as Chief Guest in Film festival illuminated the festival with their presence and attended by other dignitaries. Mr. AVM K Shanmugam, the General Secretary, along with Mr. E. Thangaraj, the former General Secretary, and other guests.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the enlightenment and cultural exchange that the festival aims to promote. Following the tradition, Mr. AVM K Shanmugam felicitated the Chief Guest, Mr. Mohammad Reza Fazel, acknowledging his significant contribution to cultural diplomacy. Mr. E. Thangaraj- former General secretary, Mr. Suresh Menon- Joint secretary, Mr. K.B. Kumar- Executive Committee Member of ICAF joined in the felicitation of the Chief Guest.
In his welcoming address, Mr. AVM K Shanmugam expressed his gratitude to all participants and emphasized the importance of cultural exchange in fostering mutual understanding and cooperation between nations.
