Tochal Leisure Complex: A Complete Winter Entertainment Experience!

The Tochal peak is located in the northern part of Tehran, with an elevation of 3,962 meters. It is part of the Alborz mountain range. On the southern slopes of this peak, which lies within Tehran Province, a range of recreational and leisure facilities has been developed. These facilities have made Tochal one of the most popular recreational areas in Tehran. The peak is also a favored destination for mountaineers, being one of the most accessible and attractive climbing spots. Along the ascent route to the peak, several stations and shelters have been built. The most famous ones, from east to west, include: Darabad, Kolakchal, Sherwin, Shirpala, the Tochal summit shelter, Amiri shelter, Osun hotel, the fifth station of the cable car, Speed Kamar, and Palang Chal. However, what might attract more attention among visitors are the various facilities and recreational activities available at the Tochal recreational complex.

The Tochal Ski Resort is one of the most famous ski resorts in Iran. It consists of five ski slopes designed for recreational, educational, and speed skiing. Located just 5 kilometers from Tehran, the Tochal Ski Resort, with a length of 1,200 meters, is the closest winter sports facility to Iran's capital. Situated at an altitude of 3,500 meters, the resort is not only a popular destination for skiing but also features a ski school, making it one of its unique attributes.

The Tochal cable car is as renowned as its ski slopes, stretching nearly 7,500 meters in length. With three main lines at seven stations, one ski lift, and three chairlifts, it offers a unique option for sports, recreation, and adventure. The highest cable car station is located at an altitude of 3,680 meters. Another iconic feature of Tochal is the "Tehran Rooftop" (Bam-e-Tehran), which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. The presence of multiple cafés and restaurants adds a special atmosphere to this spot, making it a popular destination for visitors. Many people love to visit the "Tehran Rooftop" to enjoy a peaceful environment while gazing at the endless bustle of the capital city below.

If you visit the Tochal Sports and Recreational Complex, a variety of snow-based activities await you, including snowmobiling, where you can race through the snow at high speeds. At the seventh station of the cable car, you can take advantage of the cable car service. At the first station of the cable car, you’ll find an augmented reality simulator that recreates effects like splashing water, snowfalls, winds, lightning, and storms, offering a thrilling experience. Another unique experience is the Cheshmeh Chairlift, which offers a different perspective of Tehran’s skyline. The chairlift travels from the first cable car station to the Cheshmeh Restaurant over a 1-kilometer stretch, taking about 10 minutes to complete. For the more adventurous, you can try the Tochal Sled, which has been operational since 2015 (1394 in the Iranian calendar) and spans 1,420 meters. The sled can carry up to 250 people at a time and travels along a winding, thrilling path. It even operates at night, providing a whole different experience of sledding under the stars!

The Tochal Sports and Recreational Complex also features an escape room, offering a new form of entertainment where players face a series of challenges that, once solved, lead to victory. To win at Cube Club, you need to be prepared in terms of intelligence, general knowledge, speed, and teamwork. The escape room can accommodate 3 to 12 people at a time. In addition to skiing, there are also pathways for walking and mountain hiking at Tochal. The walking trail is 2 kilometers long and leads to Tehran Rooftop (Bam-e-Tehran). Along the "Health Path," there is a Health Park, designed as a resting and recreational spot. For hiking, the route stretches from the first cable car station to the summit, covering a 17-kilometer distance with seven resting spots along the way. There is also an archery club with a 1,500-square-meter area located on the Health Path, where enthusiasts can receive free training during specific times. In addition to archery, dartboards, ping pong, and foosball are available. A billiards café is located just above the archery club, and for those interested in tennis, Tochal has six international-standard clay tennis courts at the first cable car station. For more adventurous activities, "Bungee Jump Club" at the same station offers a jumping platform, trampolines, and rock climbing, making Tochal an all-in-one destination for fun and excitement.
