IRAN, LEADERS IN FILM PRODUCTION
HARARE, 11 MAY 2025 The Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr Hamid Bakhtiyar, has reiterated his call for strengthened cultural relations between Zimbabwe and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of content creation and film production.

Receiving one of Zimbabwe’s top content Creators, Mr. Admire Mushambi, also known as Mama Vee in his skits in Harare today (March 11), Mr. Bakhtiyar said the visit to the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Iran by Mr. Mushambi places Iran as the epicenter of film and short video production, where content creation is driving, redefining and reshaping the country’s film and video industry.
He said he hoped that Mr. Mushambi will in future pay a visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran under a cultural exchange programme meant to benefit actors and content creators from both countries.
Mr Mushambi said he looked to further collaborate with Iranian content creators whose works are getting global recognition under the ever-evolving international film industry and to get exposed to the ever-changing film production techniques.
Mr Mushambbi was accompanied to the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Iran by Mr Raphael Jamu, one of Zimbabwe’s top visual artists.
