The 43rd Fajr International Film Festival, coinciding with the 46th anniversary of the glorious Islamic Revolution, will be held in Tehran from February 1 to 10, 2025 (Bahman 12–22, 1403). The Fajr Film Festival is Iran’s most prominent cinematic event, which has, since 1982, annually showcased the works of domestic and international filmmakers during the Fajr Decade in Tehran, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This year’s competitive programs of the Fajr International Film Festival include the National Section, International Section, and the National Cinema of Iran Section. Notably, the International Section aims to identify valuable works from Iranian and global cinema and to encourage productions aligned with the standard and spirit of Iranian cinema. It will be held from January 31 to February 4, 2025 (Bahman 12–16, 1403) in three competitive categories: Cinema Saadat, Eastern Vista, and Future Frame, along with the non-competitive “World Panorama” (Festival of Festivals) section.
Interested participants and filmmakers can visit the festival’s official platform at https://www.fajriff.com/en/ for detailed information, registration, and submission procedures through legal producers or distributors.
