The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe yesterday mounted a massive photographic exhibition at the venue where Palestine and its friends in Zimbabwe gathered to commemorate the International Palestinian solidarity Day.

As Zimbabwe joins the rest of the international community in commemorating the 16 Days Against Gender Based Violence, the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic has joined in the call for an end to the unjust and brutal gender-based violence attacks on women and children, especially the women and children of Gaza being killed and made to suffer by Israel.

The year 2010 was a turning point for science, technology and innovation (STI) policy in Iran. Up until this point, the emphasis had been on developing higher education and increasing the number of academic publications (1990–2000), followed by support for emerging technologies, (2000–2010). The main result of this first generation of STI policies was greater academic productivity in emerging technologies, in particular, coupled with the creation of the first science and technology parks.
