The Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe, Mr Hamid Bakhtiyar, has today the 11th May 2023 hosted Miss Leona Muchenje, the Documentation and Research officer at the African Liberation museum located in Zimbabwe’s capital city, Harare.

In the spirit of celebrating Nowruz, the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe held a Three-day exhibition to mark the first day of the Iranian new year at the University of Zimbabwe, from the 20th to the 22nd of March 2022.

Women have been hailed as being at the core of families, communities and societies at large, given the role they play in bringing up families.

Dialogue among the followers of different faiths in Zimbabwe has been hailed as a tool to unite Christian and Muslims in the country, a development still to be emulated by most countries in Africa where intra religious intolerance still persist up to this day. Muslims and Christians in Zimbabwe have become pace setters in promoting peaceful coexistence amongst various religious groups, as they from time to time sit down together to find common ground is matters affecting the Abrahamic faith.

Relations between the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Women’s University in Africa (WUA) continues to grow with more cooperation programmes in the pipeline

The Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe (January 27 to February 2, 2023) hosted the Qur'an recitation training course that was conducted by Dr. Hussein Chaghomi, an expert in Quranic recitation from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Mr Abbas Navazani and the Deputy Director of the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe, Mr Josiah Kusena in Harare yesterday.
