University students celebrated cultural diversity by showcasing different cultural norms and values during the annual cultural Gala at Islamic University in Uganda Female's Campus.

World Family Day was organized by the Cultural Consulate of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tanzania in cooperation with counterparts in Uganda and Kenya.

The function was organized by the Cultural Consulate of I.R. Iran on the theme: The necessity of the commitment of the international community to recognize the sovereignty of the Palestinian people.

This Graduation attracted members of the diplomatic Corps, Ministers, Members of parliament, academicians, religious and opinion leaders. The ceremony was graced by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament of Uganda,Hon. Thomas Tayebwa Among other guests were Hon. Henry Okello Oryem, the State Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Abdollah Abbasi, the Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran who represented the Iranian Ambassador to Uganda.

This event was organised by the Cultural Consulate of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Uganda on the theme: "Women in the contemporary world a religious perspective"

The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has called on more youth to join Nkobazambogo, saying the strength of Buganda lies in the unity within the association. Mayiga said this at Bulange Gardens on Tuesday where he presided over the Leadership handover of Nkobazambogo, a Baganda youths association, founded at the university in 1992.

Among the guests were members of the diplomatic Corps, international organizations, Heads of academic and cultural institutions, media among others.
