CULTURAL CENTRE BREAKS NEW GROUND, TRANSLATES, PRODUCES NEW AUDIO BOOK

16 January 2025 The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe has broken new ground by translating and producing the book, a Sweet Jam, initially written by the prolific Iranian writer, Hashemi Moradi Kermani, into an audiobook.

This is the first time that the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Iran has undertaken such a project.

The voiceover for the book was done through an agreement between the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Iran and Zone 5 Podcast, based in Harare. The book would be accessed by thousands of the podcast’s followers as well as by those following the Cultural Centre of the embassy of Iran’s social media handles.

In Sweet Jam, the author delves into human-interest stories that create a deep connection between the reader and the story line.

The book has been identified as another way of building strong cultural and literary bonds between Zimbabwe and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In 2024, the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Iran also published a book on the Islamic Revolution through a partnership with a local publishing company, Weaver Press.
